Cake Fairy Tales

Life's better with cake and a sprinkle of fairy dust

Panda Macarons

A classmate bought me a tube of Dr Oetker Intense Black Gel from UK last week. My first thought was to make these cute panda macarons.

However, the colour was more ‘smoky grey’ than ‘intense black’. The saving grace was that it is made from all-natural ingredients, so you could add the whole tube if you wanted without worry. Beware though, a big amount of gel could change the consistency of the macaron batter.

Singapore Zoo recently imported two Giant Pandas from China. I haven’t see them yet. Haven’t been to the zoo in years. Maybe it’s time for an excursion this weekend.

Happy Vesak Day long weekend to all!
