Life's better with cake and a sprinkle of fairy dust
I think I’m addicted to yeast. The aroma excites me. The gassy, bloated, damp texture of overnight dough causes my heart to go a-flutter. Handling yeast-raised laminated pastries, like croissants, make my senses go into overdrive.
There couldn’t be many ways to start a Sunday morning better than baking these fresh for breakfast. Especially if the Sunday was the start of a week-long hiatus from baking school.
